We're Hearing Things

Apparently someone close to Karen Bass is in a bit of a pickle.

@TheGussReport - Have it from several well-placed sources that a high-ranking mucky-muck with close current ties to LA Mayoral candidate Karen Bass is in a bit of a pickle. Said person is in for an even higher gig if she wins, as records indicate that this person’s donations to Bass significantly eclipse their prior donations to other local politicians.

Apparently, this high-up person’s higher-ups are aware of what went down, but info hasn’t trickled down to the people who need to know.

Is City Hall keeping this from being discovered? I once sued LAPD for the same thing as it fought tooth and nail to prevent public records from exposing an embarrassing ⁦Eric Garcetti story. City Attorney Mike Feuer wound up paying my legal expenses.

So we’ll tease it.

UPDATE: We hear that alleged offender has been relieved of duty. Unfortunately, the entity employing this person isn’t speaking up, but my sources are.
