"Yikes! Another LA City Councilmember Can't Handle the Pledge of Allegiance!" by Daniel Guss
Kevin de Leon has company!
@TheGussReport - LA City Councilmember Kevin de Leon isn’t the only lawmaker who needs help with the Pledge of Allegiance.
While KDL drew nation-wide mocking for his version, newly elected Councilmember Imelda Padilla joins the ranks of the cringeworthy with her own rendition this morning, requiring help from colleague Bob Blumenfield to stumble across the finish line.
Not to be outdone, KDL shortly thereafter mispronounced “Franklin Delano Roosevelt” during a rambling presentation.
On the bright side, at least verbal gaffes aren’t crimes. At corruption-saturated LA City Council, that’s refreshing.
Oy!
